Kirstie Alley's Double Debut

kirstie_lg

We've ridden the Kirstie-Coaster for several years now. And as we all know... this coaster has some serious loopty-loops goin' on upstairs. Still, you can't help but wonder where this carnival ride is going. True too, that you still just want to cheer for the former Cheer's star.

So make sure your 5-point safety harness is securely fastened, because the train of cars is departing the platform. Alley's two new pet projects make their debut within just a few weeks of one another. First was the launch of Kirstie's new weight loss company, Organic Liasion. The program offers all-natural supplements and amino acids that aid in sleep and curb carbohydrate cravings. The actress & entrepreneur has already lost 20 lbs. since starting the program in January. According to People, Kirstie says she wanted to create a weight-loss system that doesn't include "meals that I can keep in my closet... one that would actually improve mine and my kids health along with shrinking my awesomely ample bottom."

As an aside, your Skinny Scoopers think "awesomely ample" is a great use of alliteration & a very fun way for this funny lady to describe her boo-tay.

But WAIT.... there's MORE. Let's not forget, Kirstie is about to debut a new TV show! What can we expect from that? At least one blogger got a sneak peek. Laura Beck wrote a "Wakeup Call to Kirstie Alley" in today's Huffington Post. In the blog post, the writer offers her impressions of Alley's new TV show. "I just watched the preview for her new show, Kirstie Alley's Big Life, and it's capital C, Crazy. It's basically Kirstie Alley complaining about being fat, showing us how how fat she is, some insane gibberish about how she has 25 animals (who live with her? in her house?) and then more hating on herself because she's fat. It's so tiring. What's worse, another show about losing weight? I know A&E is new to the reality genre but we've reached a saturation point with "get skinny, fatty" shows and there is nothing left to say. 2002 called, and it wants its show back."

We confess that Biggest Loser is a guilty pleasure, and to that end, can't say we agree that the concept is completely overplayed. We love to see people triumph in taking control of their health and lives. So the question is, will that be the happy ending to Kirstie's new show? Only time will tell. Kirstie Alley's Big Life debuts March 21st on A&E.

my biggest concern for her is why would someone put themselves thru this just to sign up a new series or reality show; basically I do not think is worthwhile. She risked her health, life and I feel like she's just making fun of all of us who cannot afford to have someone be our personal chef. I for one will not be watching her show. She's a complete fake.
