Go Niners! Oh, wait, go Steelers!  Oops, still wrong? Oh, yeah… GO COLTS (Scott just whispered in my ear who we’re rooting for).  Ok, I do love the football season and I have teams and players that I like. In fact Scotty and I had our own little football pool this season and I did pretty darn good, I have to say. Scott is a football FANATIC! TRULY. LOVES the game… why he isn’t a coach or football commentator, I’ll never know.

More than the stats or the specifics of the game, I like football season because of all that comes with it… cooler weather, being home on Sundays, and… you know it … FOOD. I LOVE serving up goodies to our guests and keeping the drinks flowing. So, as we work on being more health conscious we’ll be still enjoying the grand pubah of all sporting events… SUPER BOWL.  This time, I’m scouring the Skinny Scoopers web site for some of their fabulous appetizer recipes. I’m also planning to serve a healthy dose of veggies for that yummy fresh crunch.

Hoping to that we’ll break our “even” stretch with an L (for loss!) in the Walwyn column next week!

My wife is the best.  Crunchy veggies and skinny appetizers.  Yeah, drowned by my new friend the Raspberry Burst Smirnoff Ice “beer”?!?!  Remember Zima?  I’m finding real beer, my old friends Bass, Newcastle and Fat Tire very heavy and filling.  Much better sipping on clear, sweet, raspberry sugar- water once a year for 4 hours of Super Sunday, right.  NOT! (calories are actually WORSE in Ice)! Hey, I made it through the Thanksgiving to New Years Eve gauntlet even, right!?

I’m pleased to say that I am even for 3 of the last 4 weeks.  Hovering at a constant 254.  After deliberating on last weeks semi-dismal effort, I’ve concluded that I’m contented not gaining any for a month and ready to press forward into gulp,… basketball season.  Well, lots of yard work to catch up on over the next 7 months until pre-season football next August.

Colts 37 and Saints 33.  Call your bookie.

You can do it- change your schedule to accommodate exercise, itis well worth it. You have each other and making choices that support weight loss is better for you and your family. Be happy you maintained over the past week, that may help you realize progress is soo in reach this week.
